Loving this video for Cults “Go Outside” starring Dave Franco and Emma Roberts. It has a really cool 60s vibe and also incorporates a little Frenchy twist, which I love!! So cool. Dave is obvi the little brother of James. What a good looking brother set. Oh la la.
I’m loving these adorable macaron prints I found via Lucile’s Kitchen ! I still have not had the opportunity to try an authentic french macaron for myself, but I sure would love to have one from the real deal–Laduree. Who wants to go to Paris with me?! : )
This song is ten years old, but I absolutely love it. : )
Ah, the weekend is hours away! This week definitely had its ups and downs, but c’est la vie. Looking forward to a weekend with vague plans, which could end up being really fun and spontaneous or relaxing and quiet–I could go either way at this point and be perfectly content.
Some high notes of the week:
- Adele’s new album “21”–phenomenal!
- New necklace from Forever21
- Gym membership to Max Fitness
- Day off from work on Monday
- Buy one, get one free Chipotle coupon
- Mink Muffs nail polish
- Good phone chats
- Got my mermaid painting to be framed
- Salasaritas today for Friday lunch group
Some low notes of this week:
- $50 parking ticket
- Flu-like symptoms (and other sickness)
- Sludgy icy cold mess weather
- Feeling really pudgy
- A skirt I ordered from F21 doesn’t fit : (
At least I had more good things than bad, right?? : ) And lots of my good things aren’t even on this list. My parents (as far as I know) are coming to visit this weekend, and to see Rachel’s art show at Bluestem. Can’t wait to see them and my little fluff ball. Also, ready for a night out with the girls tomorrow! Perhaps staying in tonight?? Looks like I have some plans after all!
Adele’s new album “21” was released today! If you want to check it out before you buy it (which you’ll want to), listen to it in its entirety on NPR. Enjoy!
Normally when you think of fast food you think of greasy, fatty foods that leave you feeling sluggish and VERY regretful. Luckily for those who seek a lighter, healthier option for a midday snack can still hit up the drive thru!
McDonalds now has a delicious cup of oatmeal mixed with green and red apples, golden raisins and craisins for only 290 calories and 4.5 grams of fat! It contains half a cup of fruit and two servings of whole grain. I had it for the first time this morning (for free with a coupon I received in the mail) and it was surprisingly delicous and filling!
If you’re looking for another delicious snack, try McDonald’s Fruit and Yogurt Parfait! Layers of yogurt, granola and fresh blueberries and strawberries make up this tasty treat. At only 160 calories and 2 grams of fat, you can eat this and feel no guilt at all!
Taco Bell has a drive-thru diet. Crazy right?? Well, I wouldn’t exactly call it a diet, but TB does offer some healthier options compared to their normal greasy (yummy) burritos. For instance, the Fresco Chicken Soft Taco! This taco skips the sour cream and cheese and loads up on white meat grilled chicken, lettuce and spicy salsa. For one taco, you’ll consume 170 calories and 4 grams of fat. Not horrible for mexican food!
Here is an upbeat song if you’re having the hump day foggy blues! : ) Hopefully this lifts your spirits a little bit. It’s really poppy and fun!
